A-STEM 3D

Terms of Service

Effective September 19, 2026 · Version 1.0 (2026-09-19)

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms of Service govern your use of A-STEM 3D and purchases from A-STEM, LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("A-STEM," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the service, submitting a file, or placing an order, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract. Our service is available only in the United States.

2. Quotes, payment, and order review

A quote is an estimate and is valid only while displayed unless we state otherwise. Because our pricing algorithm may change, a quote that is no longer displayed may not be available later. The displayed subtotal includes the estimated production charges for the selected options; shipping rates and delivery estimates are provided separately through Shippo. An automated quote is not a promise that a model can be printed.

Your order is accepted when payment succeeds. Every accepted order remains subject to our post-payment review for printability, safety, legal compliance, and other requirements. We reserve the right to cancel any order we determine we cannot or will not print, in which case we will issue a full refund.

If review shows a price change is needed, we will email you for approval before proceeding. If you do not reply within 7 days, we may cancel the order and refund the amount paid. We may cancel an unprintable or prohibited order, explain the reason when appropriate, and provide a full refund.

3. Your files and instructions

You retain ownership of your submitted files. You grant A-STEM a limited, non-exclusive license to store, review, copy, convert, slice, and use the file only as needed to quote, manufacture, and fulfill your order. Only our internal employees may access submitted files for those purposes; we do not provide them to external manufacturers or partners. This license does not permit us to alter your underlying CAD design. You represent that you own or have permission for the file and its intended use and that it does not infringe another person's rights.

We do not use submitted files or printed parts for training, marketing, portfolios, galleries, resale, publication, or other unrelated uses without your permission by email. We do not provide CAD repair, design, or alteration services. Special instructions are requests, not binding specifications, unless we expressly accept them in writing. We will not substitute your selected material without your consent. If it is unavailable, we will seek your approval or cancel and refund the affected order.

4. Manufacturing tolerances and appearance

Additive manufacturing is inherently variable. Unless we expressly agree to a different specification in writing, our typical dimensional targets are the greater of ±0.5 mm or ±0.5% for FDM parts and the greater of ±0.3 mm or ±0.3% for SLA parts. These are general process targets, not guaranteed engineering tolerances, and geometry, orientation, material, size, curing, and environmental conditions can produce greater variation.

Layer lines, seams, support marks, minor stringing, small blemishes, color or gloss variation, warping, shrinkage, and similar process artifacts are normal and are not necessarily defects. Report a major manufacturing deviation promptly with measurements and photographs; we will review the issue and any remedy case by case. You are responsible for testing fit, strength, and suitability for your use.

5. Safety and prohibited uses

Safety notice: Our parts are not designed, tested, or certified for medical, food-contact, child-safety, automotive, aircraft, pressure-containing, electrical, structural or load-bearing, or life-safety uses. Do not use them for any of those purposes.

You may not submit or order unlawful, infringing, weapon-related, or hazardous items. You are responsible for your files, requested use, and compliance with applicable law. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot lawfully be limited. If we identify a prohibited item, we may cancel it, refund payment, and explain the reason when appropriate.

6. Delivery and pickup

We serve U.S. addresses only. Shipping rates and delivery estimates are provided through Shippo and may change; they are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates. We provide tracking for shipped orders. Promptly notify us of carrier, address, or loss issues. We will reasonably assist and determine the appropriate remedy based on the circumstances. Orders over $500 may require added shipping insurance.

Free pickup is available in Olympia Heights by email coordination at a public location during daylight hours.

7. Returns and remedies

Custom-manufactured items generally cannot be returned for a change of mind after production. Please review our Returns & Cancellation Policy. We evaluate reported manufacturing deviations and other issues case by case and may offer a reprint, repair, refund, partial refund, or another appropriate remedy. This policy does not limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

8. Privacy and retention

Submitted files are accessible only to our internal employees as needed to quote, manufacture, and fulfill your order; we do not provide them to external manufacturers or partners. For paid orders, we automatically delete model files 30 days after payment or job completion, whichever is later, except when an unresolved dispute or legal hold applies. This model-file retention policy is separate from retaining order and transaction information as needed for accounting, internal recordkeeping, legal obligations, and disputes. Automated quoting is not appropriate for files subject to an NDA or confidentiality obligation; contact us before uploading at 3d@a-stem.us to make arrangements. See our Privacy Policy.

9. Disputes, governing law, and liability

Mandatory arbitration and class-action waiver: Before filing a claim, the complaining party must send written notice describing the dispute and requested relief and allow 30 days for an informal resolution. Except for a claim that applicable law does not permit to be arbitrated, any unresolved dispute will be decided by one arbitrator in individual, binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its applicable Consumer Arbitration Rules. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this agreement to arbitrate. Arbitration may occur remotely or in Miami-Dade County, Florida, as the applicable rules permit.

You and A-STEM waive jury trial and agree not to bring or participate in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action. A court may be used only to enforce an arbitration award or resolve a claim that cannot lawfully be arbitrated. Any such court proceeding must be brought exclusively in a state or federal court located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Florida law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Warranty disclaimer: To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service and printed parts are provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties. Any reprint, refund, or other remedy is determined case by case. This disclaimer does not exclude a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, A-STEM's total liability arising from an affected service will not exceed the amount you paid for that service. This cap does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited. You will indemnify and defend A-STEM from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your files, instructions, infringement of another's rights, unlawful or prohibited use, or breach of these terms, except to the extent caused by our conduct or prohibited by law.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. The version accepted with an order continues to govern that order. Formal dispute notices and questions may be sent to 3d@a-stem.us.
