Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how A-STEM, LLC, doing business as A-STEM and A-STEM 3D ("A-STEM," "we," "us," or "our"), handles personal information when you use our U.S. only 3D-printing service. It applies to our website, quote, order, payment, pickup, shipping, and support services.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide, including your name, email, shipping or pickup details, quote and order selections, special instructions, uploaded model files, and support communications. We derive print metadata from uploaded files to prepare quotes and production. We receive payment status and transaction information from Stripe; we do not receive your full payment-card number. We also collect IP address, device, browser, log, and security information, and use essential, local, and session storage needed to operate the site.

3. How we use and disclose information

We use information for quote and file processing, production, fulfillment, payment, communications about production, pickup, shipping, and support, security and fraud prevention, and accounting, recordkeeping, legal obligations, and disputes. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use analytics or advertising tracking tools.

Uploaded models are accessible only to our internal employees as needed for quote processing, production, and fulfillment; we never provide them to external manufacturers or partners. We do not use uploaded models or printed parts for training, marketing, portfolios, galleries, resale, publication, or other unrelated purposes without your permission by email. We use service providers that process personal information for these purposes, including Stripe for payments, Shippo and carriers for shipping, Microsoft Outlook/Graph for communications, and hosting and storage providers for service operation. Shippo and carriers receive the delivery details needed to ship an order. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

4. Retention and confidentiality

For unpurchased quotes, we retain uploaded model files in quote storage for up to 30 days before automatically deleting them. For paid orders, we automatically delete uploaded model files 30 days after payment or job completion, whichever is later. We may retain a file when an unresolved dispute or legal hold applies. This model-file retention policy is separate from our retention of order and transaction information as needed for accounting, internal recordkeeping, legal obligations, and disputes. Automated quoting is not intended for NDA-protected or confidential files. Email 3d@a-stem.us before uploading such a file to arrange appropriate handling.

5. Your choices and requests

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing 3d@a-stem.us. We verify requests and respond within a reasonable time. We may retain information where an exception applies, including when law permits or requires retention.

6. Security, children, and changes

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. Our service is for legal adults age 18 and older; we do not knowingly collect information from children. We may update this policy by posting a revised version with a new effective date.
